For more than fifty years the big band Renhornen has stubbornly challenged, amused and concerned it's audience in Umea and the surrounding area (which includes the greater parts of Sweden and selected parts of northern and central Germany).
From our first performance, celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the Dental school of what was to become Umea University, through smokey jazzclubs in Hamburg and the "Markt Anno Dazumal" in Lübeck, over the Nobel Prize Cermony in Stockholm, the World Cup i Tärnaby and the inaugeration of the high speed Botnic railway, we have been faithful to our promise "We'll play to amuse our selves, and if someone else will like it, it's OK!".
But above all, it's you, our beloved audience, that makes us continue! To preform the music we love, and to see other people enjoy it, is our great reward. We also find it extremely flattering that you, on top of that, support us by buying tickets and hiring us for dance music performances, which enables us to twice a year produce our concerts!!! To shoow our appreciation we hope that you will be able to attend some of the events we will present during the jubilee year!
